Monday morning
Good morning all and still the sun shines! but I do believe that we are in for some rain soon which is just as well as the garden is desperate. June is normally pretty wet and everyone moans about "whatever happened to flaming June" Then, of course, it pours for Wimbledon which I guess will not be happening this year. Anyway, I for one will be very happy to see some rain. Hydrangea petiolaris in full bloom pollen on the bins As you can see there is quite a coating of pollen on the bins and I'm sure with the breeze there is tons of it in the air. I was in the kitchen for less than five minutes when I started sneezing. Yesterday I did a little weeding in the greenhouse but it was way too hot so I soon abandoned that and after a bit of housework I settled down to some knitting actually I spent the vast majority of the day upstairs where my sneezing is non-existent.
