Wednesday morning
Good morning all. It is another dull start following overnight rain and the whole week is showing rain cloud and sun for each day so I guess autumn is here for certain unless we get a late burst of sunny weather. As the light is very hit and miss at the moment I ordered a pair of magnifying glasses with LED lights and they arrived just in time to let me finish the embroidery, but now I am at a loss for some handy crafts. I do still have to block and wet the work but that will take about 10 minutes and then 3 days to dry. So today I am going to make some pickled eggs. I use them as a standby if I get really hungry which doesn't happen often but a quick pickled egg and a cup of tea and I am happy. These eggs are not the traditional malt vinegar type but are made with 50/50 water and homemade cider vinegar and an assortment of herbs and spices of my choice.
